S3 Member Files

S3 - SWKLS LightSail Member Files Three S3 buckets exist to act as intermediaries for file transfers between member NAS units and member websites. This was done initially to facilitate Ashland's 'Cattle Ranching' project. The buckets each have a policy & user assigned so that a NAS unit can access them (with Access Key / Secret Key in Cloud Sync App), as well as allowing the LightSail server instances to access (retrieve) files using S3 CLI on a scheduled task. Our FreeNAS server will also use these accounts / keys to retrieve files for long term archiving.

The initial setup for Ashland permits these file extensions to transfer up to the S3 bucket:

• .mp3
• .mov
• .mp4
• .mpeg
• .mpeg4
• .mpg
• .jpg
• .png
• .tif
• .tiff
• .pdf
• .txt

These file types / extensions may need to be tweaked.
