SAMBA CentOS
After inital CentOS install & updates
yum install samba samba-client
systemctl start smb.service
systemctl start nmb.service
systemctl enable smb.service
systemctl enable nmb.service
firewall-cmd --permanent --zone=public --add-service=samba
firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-service=samba
setsebool -P samba_enable_home_dirs on
Create backupuser if not created during initial install
adduser backupuser
passwd backupuser
Add user to SAMBA user list
smbpasswd -a backupuser
