Information for SAM.gov Unique Entity ID
Background
On April 4, 2022, the unique entity identifier used across the federal government changed from the DUNS Number to the Unique Entity ID (generated by SAM.gov). In its News Brief, USAC suggest that applicants complete “SAM.gov registration as early as possible, so that you have your UEI when it is required to be used during the second quarter of 2023.” The exact date of the transition will be announced by USAC at a later date.
